Start Immediately | Competitive Pay Rate | Factory Office Based

Three businesses. One factory. One schedule. Yours.

This established Perth-based group builds modular homes, timber and light-steel frames and trusses, and flooring systems in a controlled factory setting, delivering finished product to sites across Western Australia. Its three businesses share one floor, one labour pool and one order book. What they don't have yet is one person who owns the schedule across all of it.

That's the job. You'll build and run a single master production schedule so reliable that the factory stops asking what's next.

What you'll be doing

- Scheduling around 10 modular jobs and 10 to 12 frame and truss jobs a month, and setting up scheduling from scratch for a brand-new third business.
- Turning sales handovers into locked production slots, and pushing back when a handover isn't complete.
- Publishing daily, weekly, 4-week and 12-week look-aheads, on time, every time.
- Aligning material call-offs to slots and flagging long-lead items before they stop a line.
- Running a weekly schedule review with supervisors covering variance, root cause and recovery.
- Giving Sales capacity reporting they can confidently commit delivery dates from.
- Documenting and standardising the process so it never depends on one person being in the room.

What you'll bring (must-haves)

- At least 5 years in construction with direct scheduling or production planning responsibility. Manufacturing or offsite experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of timber and/or light-steel framing: the sequence, the lead times, and where it goes wrong.
- A real example of a scheduling or production process you streamlined, with before-and-after numbers.
- A track record of building a schedule from nothing, without waiting to be told how.
- Full and unrestricted Australian work rights. Sponsorship isn't available.

Not Essential but Advantageous: modular, volumetric or panelised construction experience; scheduling across multiple sites or lines; MS Project, Primavera or ERP/MRP planning tools; Lean, takt or theory-of-constraints exposure; and experience with Excel-based capacity planners.

The culture

Being great at the job gets you in the door. Being great to work with keeps you there. This is a business that treats everyone with the same respect, whatever their role, background or level of English, where people own their mistakes, share the credit, and are straight with each other. If you're structured, predictable in the best way, and comfortable saying "no" to Sales, supervisors or the CEO when the schedule says no, you'll fit right in.

Think you can own the schedule for three businesses? Show us.
