Aligned Leisure is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Richmond Football Club, established as a vehicle to manage the operations of Richmond’s health, fitness and leisure business activities. Supported by the people and business systems of the Richmond Football Club, Aligned Leisure currently operates 57 leisure centres, community stadiums, pools, gyms, skate parks, gymnastics programs, theatres and other facilities throughout Victoria and New South Wales.

About the role

We are seeking passionate and energetic Gym Instructors to join our team. As a Gym Instructor, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and engaging fitness setting while helping members achieve their health and fitness goals.

You will provide professional fitness instruction, develop tailored exercise programs, support member retention initiatives and promote participation across our broader fitness offerings. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with people,



is passionate about fitness and enjoys making a positive impact in their local community.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Providing professional fitness instruction and guidance to members and guests.
- Creating personalised fitness programs that are rewarding, engaging and aligned to members' goals.
- Actively engaging with every customer who enters the gymnasium and fostering a welcoming environment.
- Supporting member retention through proactive engagement and ongoing fitness support.
- Promoting participation in personal training, small group training and group fitness programs.
- Assisting members with safe and effective use of equipment and ensuring correct exercise technique.
- Maintaining high standards of gym presentation, cleanliness and equipment upkeep.
- Supervising the gymnasium and ensuring customer behaviour aligns with facility guidelines.
- Supporting the delivery of health and fitness initiatives in line with operational plans.
- Maintaining knowledge of current fitness industry trends and best practice.
- Complying with all health, safety and risk management requirements.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and memorable experiences to all members and guests.

About you To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

- Certificate III and IV in Fitness (or GEL equivalent).
- Fitness Australia registration/accreditation where required.
- Previous experience in the health and fitness industry.
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- A passion for helping people achieve their health and fitness goals.
- A commitment to professionalism, accountability and continuous learning.
- The ability to build positive relationships with members, guests and colleagues.
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications, or willingness to obtain them.
- A current Working with Children Check (or equivalent), and the ability to satisfy relevant pre-employment screening requirements.
