About the role

Reporting directly to the Chief Academic Officer and Vice President, the Head of School — Nursing leads IHM's flagship school and its three courses: Bachelor of Nursing, the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Nursing and the Master of Nursing. You will:

- Launch the Bachelor of Nursing and build it year on year to meet or exceed approved intake numbers
- Grow enrolments across all three courses to meet or exceed budgeted numbers annually, in partnership with Marketing and Admissions
- Lead all course governance: annual monitoring, moderation, Course Advisory Committees, comprehensive reviews and Academic Board reporting
- Maintain ANMAC accreditation and TEQSA (HESF 2021), ESOS and National Code compliance across the portfolio
- Build the clinical placement partnerships — metropolitan and regional — that sustain enrolment growth
- Lead the Course Coordinators and academic staff of the School, building a high-performing, caring academic culture
- Represent IHM as its member of the Council of Deans of Nursing and Midwifery (Australia & New Zealand)

Key Selection Criteria





- Doctoral qualification (PhD or equivalent) in nursing or a cognate discipline
- Current Ahpra registration as a Registered Nurse
- Substantial academic leadership experience in Australian higher education nursing (Head of School, Head of Discipline, Course Director or equivalent)
- Demonstrated success growing enrolments and managing courses to budget
- Experience leading ANMAC accreditation and higher education course governance
