That position continues to grow through strategic industry partnerships, government training contracts and robust demand from the transport and resources sectors.

We are also undertaking a major refresh and standardisation of our heavy vehicle training fleet, giving our trainers and students a more consistent, modern and professional training environment.

As the business continues to grow, we’re looking for experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainers and DOT-certified Assessors to join our Maddington team, with both full-time and casual positions available.

We deliver heavy vehicle licence training across HR-A, HR-B, HR, HC and MC, and are looking for people who are experienced, professional and take pride in delivering quality training and assessment.

The rolesWe are looking for:

- Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainers able to deliver HR-A, HR-B, HR, HC and/or MC licence training
- DOT-certified Heavy Vehicle Assessors
- Full-time and casual positions available
- Flexible rostering across Monday to Saturday
- Rosters and hours that can be tailored depending on availability

You do not necessarily need to train across every licence class. If you have strong experience in HR-A, HR-B, HR, HC or MC, we would still like to hear from you. What we offer

- $50–$60 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
- All pay rates being reviewed in January 2027

About youIdeally, you will have:

- A current heavy vehicle licence appropriate to the classes you train
- Experience in the heavy vehicle or transport industry
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and/or
- TLI41222 Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training – Heavy Vehicle specialisation
- DOT Heavy Vehicle Assessor certification, if applying for an assessor position
- Strong communication skills
- A professional and patient approach to training
- A genuine focus on safe driving and quality outcomes

Don’t hold the training qualifications yet?That is not necessarily a deal breaker. For the right person with strong heavy vehicle experience and the right attitude, Keen Bros is willing to invest in further education and support you in obtaining the qualifications required to develop as a professional heavy vehicle trainer.

We are interested in experienced transport people who know trucks, communicate well and want to pass that knowledge on.
