It will suit an experienced administrator who enjoys being trusted to get things done, takes pride in accurate work and brings a thoughtful, practical approach to everyday decisions.

- Prepare routine HR reports, check data and identify missing or inconsistent information.

- Follow up outstanding documents and actions, keep people informed and improve administrative processes where there is a practical benefit.

You may also support organisational meetings and committees by scheduling meetings, preparing papers, recording minutes and following up agreed actions.

What you will bring

- Several years of relevant administration experience, with HR administration experience highly regarded.

- Experience independently managing recurring work, competing priorities and deadlines.

- Sound judgement and confidence making routine administrative decisions within established procedures.

- Strong attention to detail, including checking documents and data, identifying inconsistencies and correcting errors.

- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and digital systems to prepare documents, maintain records and track work.

- Clear, considered communication and a collaborative approach to resolving issues and helping colleagues.

- Availability to work full time from our Kew head office.

Confidentiality and discretion are essential. You will be trusted to handle sensitive information with care and exercise sound judgement in your day-to-day work.

We welcome applicants with strong experience in other administrative roles, particularly those involving confidential records, detailed documentation and responsibility for keeping processes running reliably..

Why join ISN

This is an opportunity to build on your administrative experience in a role with clear responsibility and a visible contribution to everyday operations.

At ISN, valuable administration is valued as skilled work. You’ll work closely with the General Manager and colleagues who share knowledge and collaborate on practical improvements to our processes. We’ll give you the organisational context you need and work through questions together, while trusting you to manage the day-to-day work and contribute your ideas.

Apply

Submit your CV and a cover letter answering these two questions, using up to 100 words for each response:

1. Describe an administrative process or workload you have personally managed over time. How did you organise priorities, maintain accuracy and ensure outstanding tasks were completed? What did you enjoy about the work?

2. Tell us about an administrative issue where the next step was not immediately clear. What did you decide, what information did you check and how did you determine whether advice or approval was needed?

We already know our job ad quite well; this is our chance to get to know you.

Use your cover letter as an opportunity to stand out. At ISN, we’re enthusiastic about using AI responsibly, and you’re welcome to let it lend a hand with your application. Just make sure your own voice and experiences come through. Tell us what you enjoy about the work, what you’re proud of and why this role appeals to you.
