Hours and roster
- Maternity leave contract until May 2027, approximately 8 months fixed term.
- Full time, 38 hours/week role - Hybrid working arrangement
- Based in the Heatherbrae, NSW branch
- Some domestic travel may be required on an infrequent basis to support other sites
The role
You'll be responsible for delivering an exceptional, end-to-end onboarding experience for new employees and internal transfers, from pre-boarding through their first month. Duties and responsibilities in the role will include:
- Coordinating the full onboarding process for permanent new starters, contractors and internal moves, from pre-boarding through the first month
- Creating and maintaining job details and employee records, resolving issues as they arise
- Preparing and sending New Starter Packs so employees have what they need before they start
- Managing onboarding activities, monitoring engagement and suggesting improvements
- Working closely with managers and internal teams to ensure onboarding tasks are completed on time
- Arranging IT access, systems, equipment, uniforms and PPE so new starters are ready from day one
- Checking in with managers before, on and after start dates to confirm readiness
- Partnering with Payroll to ensure new employees and internal changes are set up accurately and on time
- Maintaining accurate employee records, including contracts and documentation
- Responding to routine HR enquiries and escalating more complex matters when required
- Assisting with visa documentation and related administrative tasks
Your value
You will come from a background in an administrative or HR support role, ideally with a relevant qualification in Business, Human Resources or a related field (or currently working toward one). You will also showcase the following attributes:
- Some experience working in a HR team in any capacity (intern, payroll, recruitment, onboarding etc)
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A warm, approachable style with the ability to build strong relationships easily
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to influence and support others
- Comfortable working with HR systems or similar databases; experience with onboarding and HR information platforms highly regarded
- Adaptable and quick to learn new processes
- Committed to accuracy, efficiency and a great experience for all stakeholders
