This role is primarily based at our Head Office in Coburg and forms an integral part of the team enabling the delivery of our programs across Victoria and Queensland.
Stage School Australia is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused HR Coordinator to join our HR team in Coburg!
We are currently seeking a professional with approximately 2-3 years of experience in generalist HR to work in a part-time role (3 days a week - Mon, Tues and Fri/salary pro-rata) across two head office sites in Coburg and Coburg North and to visit other sites as required across Melbourne and Brisbane.
Despite being a generalist HR role with the opportunity to work across all areas of HR, the role is heavily compliance oriented. So, if you are experienced with the fundamentals of Child Safety in Australia as well as Workplace Health and Safety and the learning and development supporting these areas, this experience will serve you well in this role and be highly desired from our recruitment panel.
This role is responsible for maintaining practical, consistent and well-documented approaches to child safety, workplace health and safety, incident management, risk assessment, first aid readiness and compliance training and all other general HR matters and activities under the guidance and direction of the Director of Human Resources. The role coordinates records, follows up actions and day-to-day compliance administration, while escalating material concerns and decisions to the Director of Human Resources.

We are specifically looking for applicants with the following experience:
•Experience in compliance administration, child safety, WHS, risk (highly desired).
•At least 2 years experience in Learning and Development and General HR coordination .
•Experience using HR systems - including driving improvements such as using automation, implementing AI tools and processes.
•Experience in creating and updating policies and procedures.
•Experience in being part of the recruitment process.
•Experience maintaining sensitive records, registers and action trackers.
•Appropriate approach to discretion, Understanding of confidentiality, procedural fairness and appropriate escalation.
•Experience in a child-related, education, performing arts or multi-site environment is desirable.

- A current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
