We have an amazing opportunity for a proactive, focused Industrial Sales Representative to support the dedicated and talented Otraco Team. This role will be based at our Mt Thorley HMSC location with regular visits to our BMSA Sydney office in NSW on a full time permanent basis.
The Role:
The Industrial Sales Representative role is to facilitate the growth of Otraco’s Industrial Sales (IS) business by engaging directly with clients, Otraco site operational staff and supplier vendors to create outstanding customer value while concurrently providing high level logistical and field support for the products and will be reporting to our Operations Manager - West. The success of this strategy is determined by the efficiency savings to Otraco’s clients, IS business unit results and customer relationships
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to,
- Ensure adherence to company directions and processes including, but not limited to, the areas of health and safety; disaster prevention; financial and business operations
- Development and maintenance of a practical and proactive ‘customer first’ mindset that is appropriate for both internal and external stakeholders
- Identification and evaluation of business opportunities and customers’ needs and wants in each market and customer segment responding to each appropriately through targeted customer service strategies
- Managing vendor/supplier relationships to ensure customer satisfaction with regards to service and efficiency
- Support and maintenance of advised contractual obligations where applicable
- Regular updating of data, market, customer and vendor information including maintenance of management reporting systems
- Proactive planning that acknowledges and respects the differences between vendor and customer segments
- Achievement of the Otraco’s key objectives and goals including revenue, gross margin and debtor collection targets
- Achievement of the mutually agreed and specified Otraco IS customer service’ performance measures
- Maintain customer purchase order references,
required delivery dates, storage locations and incompletion log checks within SAP
- Necessary travel to meet the requirements of the role
In collaboration with the client, peers and the business, you will need have a strong focus on the sales delivery of accuracy and innovation for the company
About You:
- Excellent communication (verbal/written)
- Strong customer support or sales background
- Demonstrated organisational and planning skills
- Demonstrated ability of being proactive and responsive in a timely and efficient manner
- Demonstrated customer service skills requisite to the level required for this role
- Sound computer skills
- A valid driver’s licence in accordance with the statutory requirements applicable for the class(es) of vehicle the performance of the role requires.

Desirable:
- Knowledge of earth mover tyre and rim industry, tooling and associated consumables.
