About the role In every modern organisation effective information management is necessary for improving productivity, reducing duplication and employee frustration, providing faster response times and better customer service.

Information Management

Officers are essential at the City of Swan to ensure compliance with the State Records Act through specialist records management duties, while also supporting and collaborating with employees to empower them in records management to meet their legislative obligations.

This role is available fixed term full time until November 2027 to cover parental leave, with potential for extension.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to;

- Understand and apply applicable legislation including the State Records Act.
- Perform specialist records management duties in line with the City’s Recordkeeping Plan
- Promote, train and support employees to understand and meet their legislative recordkeeping requirements.
- Implement strategies and improvements for effective information and records management.
- Collaborate with Business Units to identify and provide practical processes to improve records management.

About you The successful candidate will have the following:

- Qualification in Information / Records Management or experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of legislative obligations relating to records management.
- Experience in maintenance of electronic document records management systems.
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance.

About working with us The salary for this position will be from $74,894.84 to $90,082.35 per annum,



depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
