This is your chance to join one of Sydney’s most respected commercial office fit-out specialists at an exciting stage of growth.
With turnover now exceeding $35M, a strong pipeline of projects and based out of a designer North Sydney office, the business is continuing to invest in high-calibre people who can help shape the next phase of its growth.
The culture is collaborative, energetic and down-to-earth, with a team that genuinely values quality, strong client relationships and delivering exceptional spaces.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Interior Designer who combines strong commercial workplace design capability with a polished, confident and highly client-facing approach.
The Opportunity
Working closely with clients, project teams and senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in shaping commercial workplace environments from concept through to delivery.
This role will suit someone who is equally comfortable in a client meeting as they are developing a design solution - someone who understands how to listen, interpret a brief, challenge ideas constructively and guide clients through the design process with confidence.
You’ll be joining a business that places enormous value on client relationships, so this is not a role for someone who wants to sit purely behind the scenes. You’ll be expected to become a trusted design partner to clients and represent the brand with professionalism and credibility.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop creative and commercially considered workplace design solutions across commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Lead client meetings, design presentations and workshops, confidently communicating ideas and guiding clients through the design journey.
- Take projects from concept design through design development, documentation and delivery.
- Interpret client briefs and translate them into functional,
visually strong and commercially viable workplace environments.
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, consultants and delivery teams to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project.
- Prepare and present mood boards, finishes, materials, furniture selections and detailed design concepts.
- Contribute to pitches and early-stage client presentations, helping the business win and secure new projects.
- Manage design coordination, consultant input, approvals and documentation across multiple live projects.
- Build robust, long-term relationships with clients, consultants and industry partners.
About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you are a confident, polished and commercially minded Interior Designer who genuinely enjoys working with clients.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in commercial workplace fit-out, ideally within a D&C;, fit-out contractor or commercial interiors setting.
- Strong experience designing office environments and understanding workplace planning, functionality and user experience.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the confidence to lead client conversations and present design concepts.
- A polished, professional and personable style with strong relationship-building ability.
- Strong technical design capability and an understanding of documentation, detailing and construction delivery.
- Experience working collaboratively with project managers, estimators, consultants and site teams.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong Revit capability highly regarded.
This role would suit someone who wants to be more than just a designer - someone who wants to become a visible, trusted part of the client relationship and play a meaningful role in both project outcomes and the continued growth of the business.
