CGA Accounting is a growing accounting and advisory firm based in North Lakes, servicing clients across South East Queensland and beyond. While this role is primarily based in our North Lakes office, there may be opportunities to work from our Sunshine Coast office from time to time.
About the role
We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant who is eager to expand their knowledge, develop their technical expertise, and grow alongside our business.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and taxationfunctions, including:
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS returns.
- Preparation of management reports and client reporting packs.
- Reviewing financial statements and tax returns prepared by graduate accountants.
- Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
- Assisting clients with accounting, taxation and business advisory matters.
About you To be successful in this role you will have:
- A genuine passion for accounting and providing outstanding client service.
- A relevant accounting qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in public practice accounting.
- SMSF experience (essential).
- Experience using Xero and other accounting software packages.
- A solid understanding of Australian taxation principles including Div 7A, CGT and FBT.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to learn, adapt and grow within a dynamic business environment.
- An intention to pursue or continue CA, CPA or IPA studies.
