Who are we
Clutch is a high-growth B2B events company operating across APAC, the USA and Europe.
In 2025, we were recognised by the Australian Financial Review as the 43rd Fastest Growing Startup in Australia, and we’re on track to deliver 275+ conferences and events for technology clients this year across APAC, the USA and Europe.
We’re building events people actually want to attend, and making sure our sponsors connect with the right audiences.
Role overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially-minded IT & Business Systems Manager to take ownership of the technology that keeps Clutch running.
You’ll manage our business applications, internal IT and event technology, connect our systems, and build practical solutions that make everyone’s work easier.
That could mean improving our event registration process, building an AI-powered internal tool, fixing an integration or getting check-in running smoothly at an event.
You’ll lead this function at Clutch, deciding what needs improving, getting it done, and making sure it actually works.
Key responsibilities
You’ll be working towards 3 objectives…
Keep the business running
- Own the day-to-day management of our business applications, including Google Workspace, Cvent, our CRM and work management tools
- Manage staff onboarding and offboarding, account access, laptops and device setup
- Be the go-to person for IT troubleshooting and technical support
- Keep permissions, passwords, MFA and system access secure and organised
- Manage subscriptions, licences, renewals and technology suppliers
- Track technology spend and identify tools we can consolidate, improve or get rid of
- Maintain clear documentation so the business knows how its systems work
Make our systems work better together
- Build, maintain and improve integrations between our event, sales, marketing and operations platforms
- Own automation workflows, monitor failures and fix issues before they become bigger problems
- Work with teams to identify repetitive tasks and turn them into simpler, more reliable processes
- Build and maintain internal tools using APIs, automation platforms and AI-assisted development
- Manage the hosting, databases and deployments behind our custom applications
- Own technical projects from understanding the problem through to testing, rollout and ongoing support
- Help the team get practical value from AI tools and new technology
Make event technology run smoothly
- Own the technical setup for roundtable launches,
including registration forms, confirmation emails, calendar workflows and integrations
- Manage Cvent configuration, reporting, data exports and technical support
- Maintain and improve our registration and check-in tools, including our internal Rego OS platform
- Keep attendee data moving accurately between systems and make reporting easier for the team
- Manage event technology and equipment, including check-in stations, badge printers and connectivity
- Plan and test event technology before delivery, with transparent backup plans
- Provide onsite technical support at key events and coordinate support across international time zones
How you’ll work
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Production, Sales, Marketing and Leadership
- Balance day-to-day support with longer-term improvements
- Prioritise work based on business impact, event deadlines and what will save the team time
- Take ownership from identifying a problem through to making sure the solution works
- Train colleagues and document what you build so others can use it confidently
At the core, you’ll be responsible for building, running and improving the technology function at Clutch, where we pride ourselves on being “NO BS”.
We’re already building our own tools and using AI across the business. You’ll have room to experiment, challenge how things are done and build useful things that people actually use.
Who we’re looking for
Someone who wants real ownership, enjoys solving problems and is equally comfortable helping a colleague with a technical issue or building a better way for the whole business to work.
You’re curious about new technology, practical about where it adds value, and happy to get into the detail. You can explain things clearly, work independently and know when to bring in specialist support.
