We are seeking a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to join the team at Rydalmere Prestige Smash Repairs. This is a full-time position based in Rydalmere, NSW. In this role, you will provide essential financial administration and bookkeeping support to our business, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient day-to-day accounting operations. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our organization and supporting management with timely financial information.
Key responsibilities
- Recording and processing daily financial transactions, invoices, receipts and payments
- Preparing bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assisting with payroll administration and employee expense claims
Organizing and filing financial documentation in accordance with company procedure
- Liaising with suppliers, customers and financial institutions regarding account enquiries
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information
What we're looking for
- Relevant qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or finance, or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional approach to confidential financial information
- Eagerness to learn and develop your accounting knowledge and skills
- Experience in a trade, manufacturing or automotive industry would be advantageous
