About the role

We have two drafting positions available: a Junior Draftsperson (0 to 2 years experience) and a Structural Draftsperson (4 to 6 years experience). You'll join a boutique and experienced team at our civil and structural design consultancy delivering residential, commercial, industrial, community and education projects across Western Australia. Your drawings go out on real projects and you get exposure to a wide range of project types.

Key responsibilities

Junior Draftsperson (0 to 2 years):

- Prepare structural drawings in AutoCAD

- Create footing and slab plans, masonry, wall frame and roof steelwork drawings

- Produce minor civil works drawings such as site layouts and stormwater

- Document control and drawing administration

- Complete small projects independently under the guidance of engineers, assist senior draftspersons on larger projects.

Structural Draftsperson (4 to 6 years):
- Produce full structural drawing sets with minimal supervision in collaboration with the design engineer

- Create steel and concrete detailing, including connections, reinforcement and framing layouts

- Coordinate drawings with architects and other consultants

- Manage revisions and drawing registers

- Check and guide the work of junior drafting staff

About you

Junior Draftsperson (0 to 2 years):

- Advanced Diploma of Civil and Structural Engineering, or Diploma or Advanced Diploma in engineering drafting





- Working knowledge of AutoCAD

- Able to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
- A passion for the construction industry and understanding how structures come together

- Looking to develop into a well rounder draftsperson

- Strong work ethic and eager to learn

Structural Draftsperson (4 to 6 years):
- 4 to 6 years of structural drafting experience, in an Australian consultancy

- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in civil, structural or engineering drafting, or equivalent experience

- Robust AutoCAD skills

- Sound knowledge of structural detailing to Australian Standards

- Revit experience is a bonus
