JA Recruitment is assisting a boutique Brisbane real estate agency to find a Junior Property Manager to join its close-knit team. The role is available part-time, with the agency also open to a full-time arrangement for the right person.
Working closely with an experienced Senior Property Manager, you’ll focus on leasing while supporting the day-to-day management of the portfolio. You’ll gain practical experience across the property management process, with someone alongside you to provide guidance, answer questions and help you build confidence.
The agency takes a quality-over-quantity approach, with a focus on strong landlord relationships, reliable service and a team that works well together. This would suit someone with some property management experience who enjoys leasing and wants to take the next step in a supportive environment.
The role
You’ll help keep leasing activity and portfolio administration running smoothly, with responsibilities including:
- Conducting rental open homes and private inspections, including on Saturdays if required
- Responding to prospective tenant enquiries and following up applications
- Processing tenancy applications and preparing lease agreements and supporting documents
- Helping onboard current managements and keeping property information up to date
- Communicating with landlords, tenants and trades
- Coordinating maintenance requests and following up outstanding repairs
- Assisting with lease renewals, inspections and tenancy management
What’s on offer
- Part-time opportunity,
with full-time also considered for the right person
- A leasing-focused role with exposure to broader property management responsibilities
- Direct support and guidance from an experienced Property Manager
- A small, collaborative team where you can ask questions and contribute
- Established systems and processes to support your day-to-day work
- An agency that values quality service and long-term client relationships
- Room to take on more responsibility as your skills and the division develop
About you
Ideally, you’ll have at least one year of residential property management experience in Queensland and a current QLD real estate registration certificate or licence.
You’ll also bring
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- A friendly, professional manner when dealing with clients
- Confidence communicating by phone, email and in person
- The ability to follow up tasks and keep people informed
- A willingness to learn, take feedback and work closely with the team
- Availability to conduct Saturday open homes as required
You don’t need to know everything already, but you should have a good foundation, take pride in your work and be keen to continue developing your career in property management.
This is an office-based Brisbane role. Applicants must live locally and be available to work from the agency’s office.
