About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Hand to join the team at mykitchen cafe in Huntingwood NSW 2148. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst being part of a dynamic hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our kitchen operations, supporting our chefs and cooks in delivering high-quality meals to our customers.

This position is essential to ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations and maintaining the standards our customers expect.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and organising ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling and chopping vegetables

- Assisting kitchen staff with food preparation and cooking tasks under direction

- Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment by washing dishes, utensils and equipment

- Storing food items correctly and following proper food safety and hygiene protocols

- Removing waste and keeping the kitchen organised and free from clutter

- Supporting the kitchen team during service periods to ensure orders are prepared on time

- Operating kitchen equipment safely and responsibly

- Following all food safety regulations and cafe procedures

What we're looking for

- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with flexibility and enthusiasm

- Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge, or willingness to learn

- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards work





- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards

- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential for motivated candidates

- Relevant food handling certifications or a willingness to obtain them would be an advantage
