Your role

Tiger & Bear Partners is looking for a driven, commercially minded lawyer to join our Technology, IP, Privacy Governance and Regulatory (TIGR) team. We are a young, fast-growing advisory firm that brings M&A;, legal and strategy under one roof.

The TIGR team helps management teams run and protect their businesses day to day. We act as the outsourced legal and regulatory team for high-growth businesses in telecommunications, energy, health, payments and technology. You will work directly with clients, sit close to the commercial decisions, and see the impact of your work quickly.

What you will be doing

As a member of the TIGR team, your key activities will include:

- Negotiating significant-value supplier, customer, wholesale and partnership agreements, including technology and software agreements
- Advising clients in regulated sectors (telco, energy, medical/TGA, payments and NDIS) on regulatory and licensing requirements
- Advising on trade marks, patents, copyright and branding, and on competition and consumer law
- Building privacy and data security compliance that works in practice, not just on paper
- Supporting boards and committees, ASIC compliance, governance and company secretarial work
- Becoming a trusted adviser to client management teams as part of their outsourced legal function
- Contributing to business development and growing the TIGR practice

You will also work alongside our M&A; and strategy teams on transactions, capital raises, Board papers and strategic projects.

A bit about you

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification in law




- Practising solicitor admitted in NSW
- Strong technology, commercial, IP, privacy or regulatory experience from a top or mid-tier firm, in-house, or both
- Telco and energy experience is highly regarded

This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Sydney CBD office, with flexibility to work from home up to 1 day per week.
