We are seeking an additional experienced Leading Hand (Workshop) to join our team at Mt Magnet on an 8/6 roster. Your point of hire is Perth or DIDO from the Mid-West.

Job Offerings

- Permanent full-time opportunity on a long-term project
- We offer $80 per hour plus superannuation on all hours worked (12.5)
- Day shifts work only
- Weekly pay

Duties & Responsibilities

- Effective & honest communication with Site Leadership, your workshop colleagues and our Maintenance Manager
- Lead positively & work collaboratively to maintain our fleets availability
- Actively participate in promoting and upholding our positive approach to safety
- Maintain compliance to service schedule and ensure compliance with all necessary paperwork
- Lead a team of Mechanics/Fitters, Boilermaker, Auto Electricians, Apprentice and Service Personnel

You will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of:
- Kenworth C509, 510 and T909
- Komatsu WA600 and WA500 Wheel Loaders
- Komatsu GD655 Graders
- Service Trucks
- Toyota Light Vehicles
- Ancillary Equipment - Generators, Lighting Plant etc.

To be considered for this role, successful applicants will possess or able to obtain the following:

- Prior Experience in a Leading Hand or 2IC role in a busy Haulage Workshop or similar
- Heavy Diesel Mechanic Trade Qualification (Australian recognised)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Solid communication skills and fostering an open and honest work place
- National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
- Must hold Australian working rights
