Your Role

As a Learning Support Specialist at Salamah College, you will provide support to students with diverse learning needs, helping to establish an inclusive learning environment and supporting their academic and social development. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the assistance they need to succeed in their learning.

You will:

- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional learning support.
- Support teachers in implementing tailored learning strategies and Individual Learning Plans.
- Provide guidance, encouragement,



and practical strategies to help students overcome learning challenges.
- Assist students to develop confidence, independence, organisation, and effective learning skills.
- Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with teachers, families, and other relevant staff.
- Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual student needs.
- Work collaboratively with Teachers, Learning Support staff, and other professionals to support student development.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with students and encourage their participation in learning.
- Use appropriate technology and resources to support student engagement and learning.

Qualifications & Experience

- Relevant qualifications in Education and/or Special Education, are preferred.
- Previous experience supporting students with special needs.
- Experience working with secondary school students is desirable.
- Knowledge of different learning strategies and approaches to support diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other support staff.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance.
