Working closely with Partners and lawyers in a busy and well established insurance practice, you will gain valuable exposure to workers' compensation matters while developing a solid understanding of legal practice and client service.

For the right candidate, this role may provide a pathway to a Law Graduate opportunity in 2028 upon completion of their studies.

In this role, you will:

- Provide administrative and legal support to Partners and lawyers across a range of workers' compensation matters.
- Manage diaries, appointments and client communications.
- Prepare, amend and format legal correspondence and documents.
- Assist with court and tribunal filings and matter management.
- Open and maintain legal files and matter records.
- Coordinate medical appointments, briefs and other matter-related documentation.
- Support billing, invoicing and general practice administration.
- Build relationships with clients, insurers, barristers and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

About you You are organised, proactive and eager to build a long term career in the legal profession.

You may be an experienced Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant seeking your next opportunity, or a law student with relevant experience wanting to gain hands on exposure within a respected legal practice while completing your studies.

To be successful, you will have:

- Previous experience in a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or similar legal support role.
- A strong interest in litigation, insurance law or workers' compensation law.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office and document management skills.
- A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.

Current law students are encouraged to apply. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain meaningful experience within a specialised litigation practice while positioning yourself for future career opportunities within the firm.
