In this highly visible role, you'll partner with senior leaders to embed strong risk management practices across strategic change initiatives, uplift risk capability, strengthen controls, and help ensure transformation outcomes are delivered safely, effectively, and within risk appetite. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, influencing stakeholders across the business while supporting a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational resilience.

You'll provide first line risk support across Transformation, partnering closely with leaders to identify, assess, manage and monitor risks associated with strategic change initiatives and business transformation activities.

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane or Sydney.

Responsibilities

Day to day, you'll:

- Develop and maintain the Transformation risk profile and Business Area Risk Register.
- Monitor strategic change risks and support management of risks back within appetite when required.
- Embed effective risk management practices across transformation programs, projects and change initiatives.
- Conduct proactive risk assessments to identify, analyse and mitigate emerging risks.




- Support control owners with risk, compliance and reporting obligations.
- Develop meaningful risk reporting, insights and metrics for leaders, committees and governance forums.
- Partner with Transformation leaders to strengthen controls and improve operational resilience.
- Oversee incident management activities, ensuring effective resolution and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate audits, regulatory reviews and assurance activities impacting Transformation.
- Build risk capability across the business through coaching, guidance and training.
- Collaborate with first, second and third line teams to ensure alignment with enterprise risk frameworks and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You have strong knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, methodologies and controls.
- Your experience includes Line 1 risk management within transformation, change or project delivery environments.
- You'll bring proven capability embedding risk practices across large-scale strategic initiatives or transformation programs.
- You're confident influencing and engaging stakeholders across complex organisational environments.
- You possess strong knowledge of operational risk and governance requirements.
- Your experience includes risk reporting, monitoring and participation in governance forums.
- You'll have demonstrated success developing controls, conducting assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.




- You're comfortable working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities and ambiguity.
- You understand risk management expectations within regulated financial services environments.
- Your knowledge of operational risk frameworks will be highly regarded.
- You'll hold a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- You're likely to bring exposure to project management, governance or change management methodologies.
