Maintenance Fitter | Darwin, NT $130,000 Package Inclusive of Super | Tuesday to Saturday Roster | Permanent Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a busy food manufacturing operation in Darwin. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with a stable employer operating a modern production facility supplying products across the Northern Territory.
Working as part of the maintenance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring plant reliability, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out preventative maintenance across a range of production and packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings and packaging machinery
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with site procedures
About You
- Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Engineering Tradesperson (Certificate III)
- Previous experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, packaging or industrial environments
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Full Australian working rights are essential
