As a Maintenance Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the village remains safe, attractive and operating smoothly. From coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance to supporting residents with day-to-day maintenance requests, you'll enjoy a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Working both independently and as part of a close-knit team, you'll help create an exceptional living experience for our residents.
This is a Full-time position, working Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.00pm with no weekend work. Reporting to the Village Manager, your duties will include; Coordinate and undertake general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance across the village.
Maintain village buildings, common areas, facilities and grounds to a high standard.
Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and skilled manner.
Conduct routine inspections and identify maintenance issues before they become problems.
Support workplace health and safety compliance and report hazards as required.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and update work orders using computer-based systems.
Contribute to the presentation, safety and overall resident experience within the village. How You’ll Make an Impact
You're a hands-on problem solver who enjoys delivering outstanding customer service and takes pride in maintaining safe, well-presented environments. You have a positive attitude, solid communication skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively while building great relationships with residents, contractors and colleagues.
To be successful, you'll bring: Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, handyperson or property maintenance role.
Strong practical skills and the ability to undertake a broad range of maintenance tasks.
A customer-focused approach and a genuine desire to help others.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid computer skills and confidence using digital systems.
The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
A proactive, reliable and team-oriented attitude.
A commitment to workplace health, safety and quality standards. Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.
