About the role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Operations and Maintenance team at Mt Carlton Gold Mine. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing mechanical maintenance activities across the process plant and site infrastructure, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of maintenance works while driving equipment reliability and plant performance.

This role will be offered on a Maximum Term Full-Time Contract, working an 8/6 roster (days only). The position is BIBO/DIDO from the Townsville/Mackay region, with accommodation and meals provided while on site.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Lead, supervise and coordinate the mechanical maintenance team across the process plant and site infrastructure.
- Allocate daily work, manage maintenance priorities and ensure resources are effectively utilized to achieve operational targets.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to maintenance personnel, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance activities across fixed plant equipment, including pumps, conveyors, crushers, screens, mills, agitators, gearboxes and associated infrastructure.
- Supervise maintenance of site services, including water systems, pumps, pipelines and supporting infrastructure.
- Work closely with other site departments to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
- Lead pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments and other safety activities,



promoting a strong safety culture within the team.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with site procedures, statutory requirements and relevant safety standards.
- Monitor maintenance performance, ensure accurate completion of work orders and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
- Mentor and develop maintenance personnel, promoting accountability, teamwork and high standards of workmanship.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:

- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner.
- Previous experience in a maintenance supervisory or leadership role within a mining or mineral processing workplace.
- Strong technical knowledge of fixed plant maintenance, including pumps, conveyors, crushers, screens, mills, agitators and gearboxes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a maintenance team in a demanding operational environment.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across maintenance and operations teams.
- A proactive approach to safety, with demonstrated experience in risk management, hazard identification and safe work practices.
- Current Coal Board Medical or Mining, Minerals and Quarries Medical – desirable.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence – essential.
- Right to work in Australia – essential.
