About the role
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic 2IC Accountant to support our busy Finance department. This role will report directly to the Financial Controller.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Weekly payroll process as well as onboarding new employees.
- Completing general ledger reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Preparing budgets and forecasts and providing insightful monthly performance analysis.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and strengthening financial controls.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to finance systems, reporting tools and processes.
- Supporting and overseeing Accounts Payable and Receivable and Warranty Department.
- Delivering timely and accurate financial reporting across multiple business units.
Qualifications and Experience
- CPA or CA qualification.
- A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
- Pronto experience is desirable.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
- A sound understanding of accounting processes and internal controls.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and robust analytical ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The confidence to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture.
