The Role

Southern Ports is recruiting a ‘Manager – Asset Management’ to join their team based at any of our locations Bunbury, Albany or Esperance. Reporting to the Chief Infrastructure & Projects Officer, you will be responsible for leading Southern Ports’ asset management function, driving a high-performing team across asset management, reliability, maintenance strategy and master data. Provide strategic leadership to continuously improve our ISO 55001 accredited Asset Management System, delivering fit-for-purpose processes across the full asset life cycles that optimise cost, risk and performance while maximising asset value across Albany,



Bunbury and Esperance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop strong working relationships with operations, site maintenance teams, engineering, finance, technology, and the broader business with a highly collaborative approach.

- Lead the operational embedment of Southern Ports asset management system and an ongoing enterprise wide asset management improvement program.

- Evaluate and report on key asset performance metrics and develop executable plans, working across the business to close identified performance gaps

- Coordinate the development of asset and maintenance master data standards and governance processes.

- Ensure existing and new digital solutions are focused on asset management objectives and strategies.

Required

- Qualification in Asset Management

- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent and/or Trade background

- Significant experience in asset management, technology, digitisation, project delivery, asset maintenance across mining, industrial or port operations

- Specialist knowledge in best practice ISO55001 Asset Management systems (or equivalent)

- Extensive experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)

- Proven consultation, facilitation, liaison and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders

- Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the preparation of reports, executive and Board level briefing papers and correspondence





- Sound teamwork and interpersonal skills and change management experience

- Excellent organisation, planning, reporting, problem solving, and coordination skills

- Capable information technology skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft office suite of applications

Preferred

- Qualification in Leadership and/or Management

- Qualification in Agile Project Management

- Qualification in Business Management

- Have a current Western Australian driver’s licence

- Be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card

- Provide a National Police Certificate that is within a 6-month period.
