Barayamal supports First Nations entrepreneurship in Australia through programs, resources, mentoring and practical support. We’re looking for a volunteer Manager, Software Engineering to help improve the digital tools behind our programs. This is an unpaid, remote role for someone currently living in Australia.

You may support delivery planning, review code, improve documentation and testing, and share practical advice with other volunteers. Work is scoped collaboratively around your skills and availability.

Preferred experience includes software or technology projects, Git, testing and collaborative development. Clear communication, reliability and respect for First Nations-led work are important.

There are no fixed shifts, minimum hours, mandatory attendance requirements, penalties for absence or guaranteed tasks. Contributions are adaptable and agreed around your availability. You can pause or step back if circumstances change with reasonable notice.
