MC Driver – Refrigerated Transport | Full time Permanent | Jandakot WA

Coolway Trans Group is a family-owned refrigerated transport and cold-chain logistics business operating nationally. We are seeking an experienced MC Driver to join our Jandakot depot on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the role

You will operate multi-combination vehicles carrying chilled and frozen freight, mainly food and beverage, across the Perth metropolitan area, including carting refrigerated rail containers between Perth intermodal terminals and our Jandakot depot. Your duties will include:

- safely operating MC-class heavy vehicles, including B-doubles, and manoeuvring them into position for loading and unloading
- loading and unloading freight, including with tail lifts, pallet jacks or forklifts where required
- estimating load weights to comply with mass limits and ensuring safe weight distribution
- stowing and securing freight in line with load restraint requirements to prevent loss or damage
- monitoring and recording refrigeration temperatures to maintain the cold chain
- conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe to drive, and reporting defects
- verifying loading documents,



checking the condition of goods and obtaining proof of delivery
- maintaining accurate delivery records, including times, distances and any incidents
- communicating with dispatch and team members to coordinate schedules and deliveries
- completing work diaries and complying with Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and company safety procedures
- delivering professional customer service at pick-up and delivery points

About you

- A current MC licence
- At least 3 years' experience driving heavy combination vehicles, ideally in refrigerated or food-grade transport
- A safe driving record and a good knowledge of fatigue management and load restraint
- Reliable, punctual and safety-focused, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication, organisation and attention to detail
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
