Role Description The Mine Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Marble Bar, WA, supporting secure and efficient production at the Woodie Woodie manganese mine. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring and coordinating mine operations to meet production plans, managing shift schedules and dispatch activities, and ensuring accurate recording of production and equipment performance data. The role works closely with mine planning, operations, and maintenance teams to optimise material movement, minimise downtime, and address operational issues in real time.

Controller will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support adherence to safety and environmental standards, and provide clear communication to supervisors and operators regarding priorities and changes in the plan. This position requires a practical, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to ConsMin’s values and operational excellence.

Qualifications

- Experience in mine control, production coordination, or similar operational roles within open-cut mining or heavy industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data and adjust plans to meet targets.
- Proficiency in mine dispatch or fleet management systems and sound computer skills (e.g., MS Office, data entry and reporting).
- Solid understanding of mine safety standards, risk management, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities, with the ability to collaborate across operations, planning, and maintenance teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work in remote site environments, manage competing priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications in mining, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Previous experience in manganese or bulk commodities, and familiarity with Pilbara operations, is advantageous.
