Project Type: Power Station Outage
CMTL Group is seeking experienced personnel for an upcoming 3–4 week outage at Mount Piper Power Station in NSW.
We are currently recruiting
- 2 x Mechanical Fitters – $70/hr
- 2 x Boilermakers – $67/hr
- 2 x Trade Assistants – $50/hr
This is a short-term outage chance working 11-hour day shifts, with the potential for further project and shutdown opportunities through CMTL Group.
About the Roles
Personnel will support mechanical maintenance and outage activities across the power station. While the final scope is still being confirmed, we are looking for people with previous experience in shutdowns, power stations, mining, heavy industrial or similar maintenance environments.

Applicants should have
- Relevant Australian trade qualification for Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker positions
- Relevant mechanical/industrial experience for Trade Assistant positions
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver Licence
- Previous shutdown, maintenance or heavy industrial experience
- Ability to work 11-hour shifts
- Ability to pass site mobilisation and onboarding requirements
- Strong commitment to safety and working as part of a team
Additional high-risk work licences and tickets such as Rigging, EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space and Forklift will be highly regarded.
