Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety‑driven Multiskilled Plant Operator to support civil construction projects across a variety of work environments. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant and equipment while contributing to site productivity, safety outcomes, and positive team collaboration.
The successful candidate will be adaptable, practical, and capable of performing a broad range of tasks to meet changing project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a variety of civil construction plant and equipment, including excavators, loaders, rollers, graders, and dump trucks.

Complete daily pre‑start inspections and undertake basic plant maintenance as required.
2. Carry out general civil works such as bulk earthworks, trenching, backfilling, drainage, and site preparation.
3. Work effectively with supervisors, spotters, and ground personnel to achieve project outcomes.
4. Follow construction drawings, safe work methods, and site instructions.
5. Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company procedures, and environmental requirements.
6. Assist with general labouring and site duties when required.
Skills & Experience
1. Demonstrated experience operating multiple types of civil construction plant.
2. Minimum 3-5 years' experience operating civil construction plant equipment.
3. Experience operating at least 3 different types of plant equipment from the following: excavators, loaders, rollers, graders, and dump trucks.
4. Strong knowledge of safe plant operation and site‑specific hazards.
5. Proven ability to work across wide-ranging tasks and equipment.
6. Effective communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
7. Ability to work independently and follow direction.
8. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Licences & Certifications
Relevant plant tickets and/or verified competencies.
Current plant tickets required: Excavator, Loader, Grader, Roller, and Dump truck tickets.
1. Construction White Card (mandatory).
2. Current driver's licence (HR/MR desirable).
3. Additional certifications such as traffic control, GPS operation, or first aid are highly regarded.
