About Us

Toowoomba Anglican School is Australia’s only coeducational K-12 Day and Boarding School offering boarding from Year 1 to Year 12. We are proudly small by design, ensuring every student, parent and staff member is known and valued within our close-knit community.

Technology plays a vital role in supporting teaching, learning and the day-to-day operation of our School. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Network Administrator to lead and maintain our digital infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure and innovative technology solutions across our School community.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Network Administrator (Part-time 0.9FTE, Term-Time with some holiday work) is responsible for the reliable, secure and efficient operation of the School's digital environment. This position supports both the daily technology needs of students and staff and the ongoing development of the School's digital ecosystem.

You will oversee network infrastructure, device management, software deployments, cybersecurity systems and key educational technologies, while working collaboratively with staff, external IT consultants and service providers.

What You'll Do

- Manage and maintain the School's network infrastructure, servers, wireless systems and cloud-based services.

- Ensure the reliability and availability of key platforms including Microsoft 365, TASS, learning management systems, audio-visual systems and printers.

- Oversee staff and student device fleets, including lifecycle management and deployment programs.

- Administer user accounts, permissions and security controls.





- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.

- Lead software deployments and manage IT subscriptions and licensing.

- Administer cybersecurity solutions, including Qoria products (Linewize, Classwize and Qustodio).

- Manage CCTV, alarm and phone systems.

- Maintain backup and disaster recovery processes.

- Work closely with external IT consultants on infrastructure upgrades, cybersecurity initiatives and strategic technology projects.

- Supervise IT Help Desk operations and support continuous service improvement.

- Facilitate professional learning and digital capability development for staff.

- Support new staff in navigating and using the School's digital environment.

- Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, vendors and external service providers.

What You'll Bring

- Relevant ICT, Network Administration or Information Technology qualifications.

- Demonstrated experience in network administration, systems management or a similar ICT role.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, networking, cybersecurity and cloud technologies.

- Experience managing devices, software deployments and digital infrastructure.

- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong project coordination and organisational abilities.

- Leadership experience and the ability to guide and support others.

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

- The ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

- A commitment to innovation,



continuous improvement and high-quality customer service.

- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or eligibility to obtain one.
