Join the Education and Organisational Development Service (EODS) as the District-wide Neonatal Nurse Educator and play a key role in shaping the future neonatal workforce across SWSLHD. This exciting 11-month secondment offers the opportunity to work closely with neonatal leaders, clinicians and stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop and deliver creative education programs, support early career staff, and contribute to workforce capability initiatives that enhance patient care.
Through leading education, professional development, quality improvement and service-wide projects, this role provides a unique opportunity to influence clinical excellence and strengthen outcomes for both staff, patients and their families.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced Neonatal Nurse who is passionate about education, workforce development and supporting clinicians to deliver high-quality care. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop and implement evidence-based education programs, establish collaborative partnerships, contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives, and effectively manage competing priorities across multiple sites.

Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role,
please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Holds full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Holds a post graduate qualification relevant to the education portfolio. Has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or its successor (or TAE40110 plus the TAEASS502 and TAELLN411 units) and/or tertiary level post graduate qualification in adult education.
- Tell us about an education, training or workforce development initiative you have led or contributed to. What was your role, how did you approach it, and what outcomes were achieved?
- This role works closely with clinicians, managers and key stakeholders across multiple services. Describe a time when you successfully collaborated with others to achieve a shared outcome.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
