Achieve Something Great The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) for the State Wide Infant Screening Hearing (SWIS-H) and Statewide Eyesight Preschool Screening (StEPS) programs provides strategic leadership, operational management, and clinical governance for two essential population health screening programs across South Western Sydney. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services that support the early identification of hearing and vision concerns in children, enabling timely intervention and improved developmental outcomes. Working collaboratively with a broad range of health, education, and community stakeholders, the NUM leads service planning, quality improvement, workforce development, and program performance.

These programs play a critical role in improving child health and wellbeing, reducing barriers to care, and giving children the best possible start in life through early detection and access to appropriate support services
