QIF is seeking a Nursery Hand (Casual) to support plant production and nursery operations. This role may involve transplanting, stock maintenance, movement of stock, plant care, pest and disease management, and picking and packing customer orders. Work is performed in outdoor nursery environments, greenhouses and shade houses.
The role includes regular manual handling activities such as lifting, carrying and moving nursery stock, pots, trays and customer orders. Most items weigh up to 15 kg, with heavier loads moved using team lifting techniques or mechanical aids where required.
Key responsibilities
- Transplant, water, maintain and care for nursery stock.
- Move and organise stock throughout the nursery using approved work practices.
- Assist with pest, disease and weed management activities in accordance with training and procedures.
- Pick,
pack and prepare orders to required quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work workplace.
- Follow all workplace policies, procedures and reasonable directions.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and committed to producing quality work.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role, with or without reasonable workplace adjustments.
- Previous nursery, horticulture or agricultural experience is desirable but not essential.
