About the opportunity:

Join the RSPCA South Australia retail team and play an important role in bringing our brand-new Angle Vale Op Shop to life. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Op Shop Assistant Store Manager to support the successful launch and ongoing operations of the store on a permanent part-time basis. The preferred working days for this role are Monday and Wednesday, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution while maintaining work-life balance

Our Angle Vale store will deliver a unique thrift boutique shopping experience, combining the excitement of sustainable shopping with a carefully curated range of quality pre-loved items.

As Assistant Store

Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of a busy retail environment, help guide and motivate a team of volunteers, maintain strong visual merchandising standards, deliver excellent customer service and contribute to sales outcomes that directly support the vital animal welfare work of RSPCA South Australia.

About you:

You are an enthusiastic and customer-focused retail skilled who enjoys leading by example. With strong organisational and time management skills,



you can confidently balance competing priorities while maintaining high standards across all aspects of store operations. You possess excellent communication skills and have a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

You enjoy building strong relationships with volunteers and customers and take pride in creating a welcoming shopping experience.

As our successful candidate, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience (2+ years preferred) in a retail leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated ability to positively influence sales and profit result.
- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service and maintaining high visual merchandising and presentation standards.
- Experience working within a volunteer-based environment (desirable).
- A current National Police Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Availability to work weekends and flexibility to support the operational needs of the store.
- A current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate, or the ability to obtain one.
