Ausblok Pty Ltd is a proudly Territory-owned manufacturer supplying quality concrete masonry products to the Northern Territory construction industry.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing and distribution operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing facility, including production, quality assurance, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, customer service, and team leadership.

About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and direction across the site to ensure production targets, customer commitments, safety standards, and financial objectives are consistently achieved.

You will be responsible for coordinating resources, developing team capability, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring customers receive outstanding service and quality products.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage all day-to-day manufacturing, warehouse, dispatch, and supply chain activities.
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while maximising operational efficiency.
- Support and mentor production teams to achieve performance, productivity, and quality objectives.
- Manage inventory, procurement,



and stock control processes to ensure operational continuity.
- Oversee order fulfilment, ensuring products are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Prepare and analyse operational performance reports, including production outputs, downtime, quality metrics, and KPI results.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Ensure training and workforce capability are maintained across all site functions.
- Champion workplace health and safety through proactive leadership, toolbox talks, risk management, and compliance activities.
- Investigate incidents and implement effective corrective actions.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee development.
- Manage administration functions, including invoicing, purchasing, inventory control, and payroll processes.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong business relationships.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or similar leadership role.




- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and engage teams.
- Demonstrated experience driving operational improvements within a manufacturing, logistics, transport, or industrial environment.
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and resource management capabilities.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational costs.
- Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and quality systems.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High-level computer literacy, including the Microsoft Office Suite and business management systems.
- Current Forklift Licence (essential).
- Heavy Vehicle Licence (desirable).
