This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Specsavers Belmont Forum as an Optical Assistant. We are currently looking for either Part time or casual staff who have the availability to work up to 4 shifts per week. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and supporting the team in delivering high-quality eye care to our patients within the Belmont (WA) community.
What you'll be doing
- Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Assisting patients throughout their eye examination and dispensing process
- Performing a range of optical and customer service tasks, including frame selection, measurements, and adjustments
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-stocked optical dispensary
- Ensuring patients have a positive and seamless experience at our store
- Providing product knowledge and advice to customers
- Supporting the store's optical and administrative functions as needed
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role in the optical or healthcare industry (preferred but not required)
- Someone with availability for up to 4 shifts per week (weekdays, Thursday latenight and weekends needed)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Enthusiasm for providing high-quality patient care and a commitment to excellent customer service
- A team-player attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- A passion for the optical industry and a desire to continuously learn and develop your skills
