Role Description The Partnerships Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Adelaide, SA, responsible for managing and growing corporate and community partnerships that support Volleyball South Australia’s strategic objectives. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and securing new partnership opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing partners, and supporting contract negotiations and renewal processes. The role involves coordinating partnership activations across events, competitions, and programs, ensuring partner benefits are delivered and reported on effectively.
The Partnerships
Coordinator will collaborate closely with marketing, events, and high-performance staff to create integrated proposals, sponsorship packages, and promotional activities. This position also requires regular monitoring of partnership performance, preparing presentations and reports, and representing Volleyball South Australia in meetings and at key events.
1. Commercial Partnerships & Relationships
• Support the CEO and relevant staff in servicing and managing VSA's commercial partners.
- Coordinate delivery and tracking of partnership benefits and contractual obligations.
- Maintain regular and professional communication with partners.
- Assist with partnership proposals, presentations, reporting and renewals.
- Identify opportunities to enhance value for existing partners and support the development of new commercial relationships.
- Maintain accurate partnership records and associated documentation.
- Marketing, Communications & Social Media
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of VSA marketing and communication activities.
- Create and schedule appropriate social media content across VSA platforms.
- Support the promotion of competitions, events, programs, representative teams and commercial partners.
- Assist with basic content creation, website updates, EDMs and promotional material.
- Ensure commercial partner recognition and branding obligations are delivered appropriately.
- Administration & Organisational Support
- Provide high-quality administrative support across the organisation.
- Prepare correspondence, documents, reports, spreadsheets and other administrative material.
- Maintain accurate records, databases and organisational information.
- Assist with incoming enquiries and provide timely, professional customer service.
- Support the CEO, Head of Finance & Administration and broader team with administrative and operational requirements as required.
- Assist with meetings, events and other organisational activities.
- Support travel bookings and logistics for VSA interstate trips.
- Support the allocation of merchandise requirements across the organisation.
- Customer Service
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders both internal and external to VSA to ensure a strong consist message is delivered keeping all parties appropriately informed of activities affecting the organisation/sport in South Australia.
- At all times communicate in a manner that enhances the reputation of VSA as an inclusive and professional organisation.
- Ensure timely communication, providing appropriately detailed responses to all parties.
- Appropriately escalate matters to senior management in a timely manner.
- General Operations
- Provide operational support across VSA where required.
- Assist other departments during peak periods, major events and competitions.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative systems, processes and organisational efficiency.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to take responsibility for tasks outside the normal scope of the position when organisational priorities require it.
- Well-developed information technology competency (e.g. MS Office and Office 365, basic web editing, JotForm and Team App).
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to meet competing demands through effective prioritisation in a results-orientated environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Adaptive to new concepts and open to collaboration.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Partnerships and Strategic Partnerships, including experience developing, managing, and growing mutually beneficial relationships.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including transparent written communication, confident verbal presentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, coordination, time management, and the ability to deliver initiatives to agreed deadlines and budgets.
- Candidates should possess Sales-related skills, including prospecting, pitching, and converting opportunities into sustainable partnerships or sponsorship agreements.
- Relevant qualifications in business, marketing, sports management, or a related field are beneficial, along with experience in sponsorship, fundraising, or stakeholder relations.
- Knowledge of or interest in sport, particularly volleyball, and the ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment will be advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with standard office software and CRM tools are desirable.
