About The Role

At El Jannah, we're known for legendary charcoal chicken, garlic sauce people cross the city for, and a brand that's growing fast and doing things its own way. None of it happens without a team that gets paid right, on time, every time. That's where you come in.

We've created a brand new Payroll Officer role. Reporting to our Payroll Manager, you'll help keep the engine running across our whole business: our Support Office (EJ Franchising), our company-operated restaurants and EJ Supplies, our manufacturing and distribution arm.

What You'll Be Getting Into

- Owning the EJ Supplies payroll. You'll run day-to-day processing end to end, accurately and on time.
- Being the backup who's got it covered. You'll step in across our other payrolls so nothing skips a beat.
- Keeping us audit-ready. You'll support internal and external audits, our Payroll Remediation Program, Payday Super and other compliance obligations. It's responsible stuff, and we take it seriously.

- Building better ways of working. As a new role in a growing business, you'll help document, standardise and improve our payroll processes.



You won't just follow the playbook. You'll help write it.

- Being the friendly face of payroll. You'll help managers and team members with enquiries, onboarding and offboarding, super, leave, and month-end and year-end processes, with a service mindset people will actually appreciate.

About You

You're a payroll pro with relevant experience under your belt and a ideally a Cert IV (or similar) to back it up. Awards don't scare you, especially the Fast Food and Manufacturing ones. You speak fluent STP, super and payroll tax, and you can pivot table in your sleep.

Hero/KeyPay and Deputy experience? Big tick. You're a stickler for the details, a vault with confidential info, and friendly even when someone asks about their pay for the third time.
