With a strong reputation for service delivery and a people-focused culture, they are seeking an experienced Payroll/Senior Payroll Officer to join their finance team and take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards and company policies.
Key responsibilities include
- End-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce
- Interpretation and application of awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation
- Processing new starters, terminations and employee variations
- Managing superannuation, payroll tax and statutory obligations
- Maintaining employee records and payroll data integrity
- Reconciliation of payroll-related accounts
- Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and stakeholders
- Assisting with audits, reporting and compliance activities
- Identifying and implementing payroll process improvements
- Supporting payroll system maintenance and enhancements
Your Profile To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Payroll / Senior Payroll Officer position
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience processing high-volume payrolls
- Sound understanding of awards and enterprise agreements
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience using payroll and ERP systems
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
