Company Background
Join a growing Australian SaaS business working in a complex, highly regulated space, trusted by some of the country's largest organisations to process high volumes of critical transactions. With regulatory change creating new opportunity, the business is broadening how its platform reaches customers through partner integrations and connectors listed in the HR and payroll marketplaces its clients already rely on.
About The Role
This is a permanent product role with commercial outcomes at its heart. You'll own the roadmap for the integration and connector suite, deciding which HR and payroll platforms to connect with next and how each partnership lands in market. Much of your time will be spent with customers, partners and commercial teams, building an evidence based view of where the real opportunity sits.
Deep technical expertise matters less here than sharp product judgement, commercial instinct and a genuine understanding of how HR and payroll ecosystems work.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and size growth opportunities across HR and payroll marketplaces, partner ecosystems and adjacent channels, with a explicit business case for each
- Lead customer and partner discovery, turning insight into roadmap priorities
- Own the roadmap and backlog, sequencing work against strategic partnerships and regulatory deadlines
- Work alongside sales and partnerships on listing agreements, pricing and launch plans for new connectors
- Guide partners through certification and marketplace requirements to get integrations live
- Represent the product externally,
from partner meetings to customer forums
About You
- Product management experience on integration, platform or partner facing products, ideally in a regulated setting
- Hands on experience with HR or payroll integrations such as Workday, SAP, MYOB or Xero is essential
- A strong market facing track record across customer discovery, go to market and commercial decision making
- Comfortable discussing APIs and integrations with engineers, without needing to be deeply technical
- Proven ability to spot growth opportunities and build the case to pursue them
- A confident communicator who leads through influence rather than authority
Company Culture
You'll work within a collaborative pod alongside a tech lead, business analyst and engineers, in a business that values ownership, practical problem solving and doing right by its partners. The role offers hybrid working with 3 days per week in the Sydney CBD office or Melbourne CBD office.
