About The Opportunity
This exciting opportunity is a full-time permanent Production Engineer role in which you will be responsible for assisting in planning, executing and finalising projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
You will drive projects through R&D; trials to factory implementation to improve cost, quality and safety outcomes- providing technical support and assisting in building capability within the Humes business for advanced automation plant. The role will include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and assisting to define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Further and detailed responsibilities are found in the position description which is available upon request and will include:
- Managing projects through from proposal, design, installation and commissioning.
- Provide technical support and assist in building capability within the Humes business for advanced automation plant.
- Ensuring all modifications and additions to assets have been designed and checked for engineering integrity.
- Assisting with root cause analysis and implementation of long-term improvement actions.
- Estimating and ordering production consumables for projects.
- Ensuring safety management and systems to protect the health and safety of all people.
- Ensuring quality management systems are in place and adhered to.
- Minimising our exposure and risk on project/s.
- Ensuring project documents are compete, current and stored appropriately.
About You
- Tertiary qualified in Process, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Civil or other relevant Engineering disciplines.
- You may be at ‘grad-plus' level looking to develop your career.
- A sound understanding of Process Improvement/ CI principles.
- Practical experience in the prestress, precast or reinforced concrete industry will be highly regarded but experience in related industries e.g.
civil construction/ heavy industrial manufacturing and similar also considered.
- Interested in Project Management, delivering projects from infancy to final completion.
- Strong problem-solving ability and an ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Highly effective communication skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a given and you will be helped by your ability to maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- AutoCAD – ability to understand drawings.
