About the role The Production Worker supports manufacturing operations at Keane Ceramics by preparing materials, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

- Pick, weigh, and prepare raw materials for batching and production.

- Operate machinery and tools safely, conducting pre-start and WHS checks before use.

- Mix and process materials according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.

- Accurately record production data, batch numbers, and quality control results.

- Inspect final products for defects or non-conformities and report issues promptly to the Production Manager.

- Meet daily production targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Comply with all WHS legislation, company policies, and safe work procedures; participate in training, toolbox meetings, and incident reporting.

- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including P3 respirators where required.





- Immediately report hazards, incidents, or near misses to the Production Manager; assist in WHS inspections and audits.

About you

- Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing, processing, or warehouse operations.

- Experience operating machinery and following standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Demonstrated experience with quality control checking and production record keeping.

- Sound understanding of WHS legislation and protected work procedures in a manufacturing environment.

- Knowledge of manual handling guidelines and correct PPE usage.

- Familiarity with stock control and goods verification processes.

- High level of attention to detail in production recording, quality checking, and materials preparation.

- Clear verbal communication with the Production Manager and team members; ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

- Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive and physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 25 kg.

- Able to stand for extended periods and work comfortably in environments with dust and temperature variation.
