The Opportunity

This isn't a maintenance role. It's an opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-value projects and help shape how AWCON delivers as we scale. As a Project Manager, you'll own project delivery from tender handover through to completion, driving outcomes across safety, programme, commercial performance and client satisfaction, while working closely with our executive and operations leadership team.

As the business grows, so does the scope of this role. High performers will have the chance to take on larger projects, broader portfolios and senior leadership responsibilities as new opportunities emerge.

What You'll Be Responsible For

- Taking ownership of end-to-end project delivery (scope, schedule, cost and risk) on projects with genuine scale and impact

- Leading high-performing site and project teams in a fast-paced FIFO environment

- Building and managing key client relationships, upholding Tier 1 delivery standards





- Driving commercial performance (cost control, forecasting and claims) with direct influence on project outcomes

- Partnering with senior leadership to align project strategy with broader business objectives

- Identifying risk early and delivering practical, outcome-focused solutions

- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep delivery on track

- Reporting on progress, commercial performance and safety outcomes to executive and operations leadership

- Championing safety, quality and operational discipline across the site

What We're Looking For

- 10+ years' experience in civil construction project delivery

- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale, complex infrastructure projects, including under cost plus and fixed price contract arrangements

- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive margin and control costs

- Confident leader who can build, motivate and influence their team

- Proven ability to manage Tier 1 client expectations and relationships

- Experience in a contractor environment (essential)

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similar (preferred)

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced,



high-accountability environment
