The RoleWorking closely with the leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of multiple commercial fit-out projects.

You will take ownership of projects from pre-construction and procurement through to site delivery, completion, and handover — coordinating subcontractors, clients, consultants, centre management, and the internal project team.

This role requires someone who can maintain control of program, cost, quality, communication, and project outcomes, while identifying and resolving issues before they impact delivery.

Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Construction

- Review project scope, drawings, specifications, estimates, and landlord requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed construction programs
- Review project budgets, trade scopes, allowances, and procurement requirements
- Identify scope gaps, buildability issues, project risks, and long-lead items early
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, designers, certifiers, and centre management
- Assist with subcontractor selection, procurement, and finalisation of trade scopes
- Ensure approvals, permits, documentation, and site requirements are in place prior to commencement
- Lead project handover from estimating into construction

During Construction

- Take overall responsibility for project delivery from commencement through to completion
- Manage project programs, sequencing, milestones, and critical deadlines
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed on time and to the required standard
- Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Monitor project budgets, committed costs, variations,



and overall financial performance
- Identify potential cost overruns, delays, and project risks early and implement solutions
- Manage client and subcontractor variations, ensuring scope and costs are clearly documented
- Review subcontractor progress and performance throughout the project
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance
- Resolve site issues, design conflicts, and construction challenges efficiently
- Manage changes to scope and program while minimising impact on project delivery
- Ensure project documentation, reporting, and communication remain current throughout construction
- Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and client satisfaction

Project Close-Out

- Drive projects through practical completion and handover
- Coordinate defect inspections and ensure outstanding works are completed promptly
- Ensure all variations, subcontract accounts, and project costs are finalised
- Coordinate certificates, warranties, as-builts, manuals, and handover documentation
- Manage final client and landlord/centre requirements
- Review final project performance against budget and program
- Conduct project close-out reviews and identify lessons for future projects

What We’re Looking For




- Experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, shopfitting, or fit-outs
- Strong understanding of commercial fit-out construction, sequencing, and trade coordination
- Proven ability to manage projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Strong understanding of project budgets, cost control, variations, and subcontract management
- Ability to develop and manage construction programs and critical deadlines
- Robust problem-solving skills with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure
- Confident communicator with clients, consultants, centre management, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and leadership skills
- Proactive approach to identifying risks and resolving issues before they impact the project
- Strong focus on quality, accountability, and delivering a positive client experience
- Systems-driven mindset with strong project reporting and documentation skills
