As a QA Engineer within our Intermediated Experience Operations team, you'll play an significant role in ensuring the reliability of customer and partner experiences across APIs, digital applications and operational platforms. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, developers and business stakeholders while contributing to automated testing, continuous improvement and emerging AI enabled testing practices.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, taking ownership and growing their influence within a collaborative team. This is a 12-month max-term full-time role based in Naarm (Melbourne) or Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).
What You'll Do
- Design and execute test cases, automation scripts and test data across APIs and digital applications to support high-quality releases.
- Validate system changes through functional, regression and integration testing, ensuring solutions meet business and customer needs.
- Identify, document and retest defects, partnering with engineers and stakeholders to efficiently resolve issues.
- Contribute to test automation initiatives that improve quality, speed and confidence across operational delivery teams.
- Support and help evolve testing practices, frameworks and processes while promoting continuous improvement across the QA community.
- Explore and apply AI enabled testing approaches to streamline testing activities and deliver better outcomes.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in QA automation, software testing or quality engineering environments.
- Exposure to API testing and modern web applications,
including React based platforms.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Xray, Playwright or similar testing technologies.
- An analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence collaborating with technical and non technical stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
- Curiosity, ownership and a desire to learn, grow and contribute to evolving testing practices.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, MuleSoft or Appian environments would be beneficial.
