Hychem International Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of coatings and construction products for the Australian market. This role is responsible for sourcing critical goods for our Flooring and Infrastructure Teams. You'll be part of a small, experienced team and will have great organizational skills and the ability to operate in a high-volume environment.
You will require a high level of competency, take responsibility for your work; prioritizing urgent tasks and have great problem-solving ability. You will partner with the operations, finance and administration teams to ensure the business has the materials in place to support safe and successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Promptly placing purchase orders with suppliers in accordance with company processes
- Monitoring orders and following up with suppliers to ensure delivery commitments are met
- Receiving in stock in a timely manner
- Build strong supplier relationships
- Ensure supplier invoice accuracy
- Process international purchase orders for sea and air freight and follow up suppliers lead times
- Managing import and export documentation
- Provide sales and management team with shipment and delivery updates
- Liaising with freight forwarders and resolving shipment issues
About you
- Demonstrated Purchasing experience in a previous role
- Imports/exports experience an advantage
- Comfortable using Microsoft office and business computer systems
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team
- Positive time management skills
What success looks like
- Purchase orders processed promptly and tracked to completion.
- International shipments processed, cleared and delivered accurately.
