Ritchie Logistics is seeking a Qualified Carpenter for a permanent full time role building Pepperberry PODs. Based at our Rokeby warehouse, with customer-site and project work as directed, you will work with the Assembly Team and Operations & Logistics Coordinator to produce accurately assembled, carefully finished PODs.
Key responsibilities
- Read drawings, specifications and assembly instructions; measure, cut and assemble POD components accurately.
- Carry out carpentry, fit-out and finishing work to the approved design and your trade competence.
- Check dimensions, fit and finish throughout assembly; identify defects early and complete authorised rectification.
- Support testing and final inspections within your competence, record quality checks and provide clear handovers.
- Inspect and care for tools and materials, follow safe power-tool and isolation procedures, and keep the work area organised.
- Coordinate with other trades and the team; report hazards, damage or changed requirements before proceeding.
About you
- A recognised carpentry trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
- Practical carpentry and finishing experience, with confidence interpreting drawings and working to accurate measurements.
- Competence using hand and power tools safely and checking assembly quality against specifications.
- Reliable attendance, pride in your work and the ability to work independently within your authorisation and as part of a team.
- Australian work rights.
- Experience in modular buildings, PODs or similar assembly work is highly regarded.
