We’re a family-run business, deeply rooted in values that span generations. As we expand, we’re looking for few Quality Assurance to join us on this exciting journey and play a pivotal role in the future of Rombola Family Farms team based Nericon, NSW.

About the role:

The Quality Assurance will join either in Production or Harvest team. Reporting to the Production/QA Manager and/or Harvest Manager in Griffith, the Quality Assurance will support harvest operations by carrying out a series of jobs including receiving, handling, despatching, and assisting quality controls with goods in our packing facilities.

Key accountabilities include:

- Receiving incoming goods, checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and packing orders.
- Unloading vehicles, opening packages, and removing contents.
- Operating Rombola Family Farms systems to obtain details of location and quantity of items in stock.




- Labelling goods with details of storage location.
- Packing and weighing goods and sealing boxes.
- Packing during the off season (i.e., broccoli)
- Operating specialised equipment, such as manually and electronically guided order pickers, and checking goods off picking list.
- Assisting with regular stocktakes.
- Operating machines/equipment to lift, place and remove goods on high levels. May require using materials handling equipment, such as hydraulic pallet lifters and hand trucks, to move goods.
- Responsible for inspecting and documenting all incoming fruit, and vegetables and ensure all product confirms to the product specification provided.
- Flag all non-conformances to the Quality manager as priority.
- Perform routine quality and condition inspections on existing inventory or stock to assist in first-in, first-out (FIFO) or worst-in, first-out (WIFO) stock rotation.
- Ensure all inbound carrier trailers and materials meet company quality and food safety standards.
- Communicate Quality Assurance issues, including defect levels and problem loads to QA manager.
- Work closely with Production and Warehouse departments to ensure effective stock rotation.




- Responsible for daily sanitation of area Post and Pre-start up
- Ensure quality of product meets quality standards and communicate any inconsistency to the Quality Manager.
- Compile data in Tablets.
- Assist in data collection for experimental trial evaluations if necessary.
- Assist in Warehouse duties as needed.
- Quality instruments, records of calibrations, are maintained to meet inspection requirements to ensure that company standards are met.
- Responsible for inspecting and documenting all fruit, vegetables, packaging materials, and ensure all product.
- Confirms to the product specification of supplier before final product dispatched.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

- Current unencumbered Driver’s Licence.
- Current unencumbered Forklift Licence.
- Ability to lift up to 15kg to meet role requirements.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
- Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets, ability to work weekends highly desirable.
- Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
- High Level of attention to detail.
- Background in food production/quality control highly desirable.
